About me
A personal journey to professional healing
I am a qualified, registered and insured hypnotherapist, driven by a genuine passion for helping clients achieve positive growth and lasting change. The caring, empathetic approach I have is rooted in both professional training and personal experience.
Qualifications and expertise
Beyond my hypnotherapy credentials, I'm qualified in neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and certified to teach meditation. I've discovered that meditation and mindfulness beautifully complement hypnotherapy as both encourage living fully in the present moment rather than being trapped by past regrets or future worries, which only serve to fuel those anxious thoughts and feelings.
My 'Why' - a mother's discovery
My journey into hypnotherapy began in 2017 when our daughter was battling severe anxiety and panic attacks as a teenager. Despite trying various forms of support, nothing seemed to be making a real difference. We then visited a local hypnotherapist and I was amazed by the transformation we witnessed – visible lasting change in just three sessions. And more importantly a better quality of life for our daughter who was then armed with tools and techniques to help her feel safe once more.
Looking back, this whole experience gave me real insight into how mental health challenges impact entire families, not just the person suffering. It also showed me the remarkable effectiveness of hypnotherapy, inspiring me to eventually pursue the training.
From support to transformation
Throughout my career, I've always been drawn to support roles – from working as a private secretary from the age of 18, to my most recent position as a therapist at a local sixth form College in Doncaster. As my hypnotherapy business grew, I knew that this was exactly what I was supposed to be doing.
Your comfort and safety
I believe in making hypnotherapy comfortable and accessible for everyone. That's why I offer a complimentary, no-obligation consultation and relaxation session – particularly important if you're new to hypnotherapy. I provide in-person sessions in the comfort of my own priviate therapy room, online sessions via Teams - and home visits can be arranged.
I have an enhanced DBS with current safeguarding training and I am a member of The General Hypnotherapy Register, The Federation of Holistic Therapists and The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.
Living what I teach
When I'm not in the therapy room or online with clients, you'll find me running, practicing yoga, meditating, cycling or open water swimming (only in the warmer months though!) This is my 'me time' and as a strong advocate for self-care, I understand its importance in maintaining physical and mental wellbeing.
Your journey to positive change starts whenever you're ready and I'm here to walk with you, every step of the way.
